they say you shouldn’t have expectations because expectations lead to disappointments and disappointments suck. i wish i could push you away just like i usually do because you being close to my heart makes it hard for me not to expect anything from you. sometimes i get this idea in my head that i feel like I’m tied to a chair and you come and take my heart out of my chest and smash it on the floor. its like you’re a puzzle that i can’t figure out. but I’m still here tryna solve you. but its impossible.

In just our underwear, so our skin can touch? Can I hold you while you wrap yourself around me? I’ll play with your hair and drag my fingertips across your skin. I’ll peck at your neck while you giggle and tell me to stop. We could whisper sweet things to each other over pillows that no one could hear.
